  • What are your hours of operation?
    The Zen Guidance is open: Saturday: 10am - 5:00pm
  • How do I make an appointment?
    Appointment requests are online. Please click 'request appointment' button by the top navigation and you will be brought to a page to select a time situable for you and your family. Enter the required information and request your appointment. A confirmation will be sent to you accordingly.
  • Do you take insurance?
    Yes. ***In network with Commercial Horizon BCBS NJ plans ***Out of network with NJ Direct and NJ Direct Access **Please contact your insurance company prior to making an appointment.
  • What are your fees?
  • What form of payment is accepted?
    Payment can be made by cash, bank transfer via Zelle (zenguidance@gmail.com) or check. All fees and copays are due before the start of your visit.
  • What should I bring to the visit?
    Prior to the visit, help your child understand that visiting the psychiatrist is often first step toward a happier, more successful life List of symptoms or concerns your child has, please ask your child for help if they are able to do so Your child’s medical/mental health record of past treatment (if applicable) Individual Education Plan Psychological test/ Neuropsychological test Completed forms available in patient resources section
  • What to expect during the visit?
    Dr Babalola will commence with the family to discuss the purpose of the appointment and any concerns. Depending on the age, Dr Babalola then meets with the patient alone (if able to speak without parents), then followed by a meeting with the parents /caretakers. The family is brought back together to discuss recommendation and agree the best way forward. An initial assessment is expected to last between 60 to 90 minutes.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    48-hour notice ice is required for Initial appointment cancellation. We understand emergency situations, however, please note: No show / cancellation for Initial appointment will not be rescheduled. No show / cancellation for Follow-up appointment will be charged at $50 Three no show/cancellations may result in discharge from the clinic.
  • Do you offer remote consultation?
    Yes, Dr. Babalola can meet with patient via a HIPAA compliant video conferencing for evaluation. Please use the 'request appointment' button to book.
